"Student Teacher" is quite a loaded oxymoronic phrase, especially if you intend to fill the shoes of a student teacher. Through teaching, this particular type of student is essentially learning and developing as a professional while still being buried in the books at night. However strange it may seem, teachers are taught every day by their students whether they are student teachers or veterans.
So, as I embark on my own journey of being a student teacher, I plan to reflect and dissect different things that I learn. I hope that every day teaches me a different lesson that will help me become the best teacher I can be. I will journal my daily lessons here in efforts to become a more reflective and effective teacher (and to share the stories with you).
In return, I hope you all can take the time to add your own stories and lessons. Visit and comment on the pages labeled "Other Brave Souls", "Solid Planning", and "What Not to Do" to give others insight to what you learn throughout your oxymoronic adventure!
